Does Acupunture hurt?
Patients usually feel little or no sensation during needling. Acupuncture needles are thinner than a cat's whisker. When the needle makes contact with qi patients may experience temperature changes, tingling, numbing, buzzing, slight pressure, and/or a dull heavy ache near the insertion point, or through out the body. New patients are usually amazed to find how relaxing the treatment is. All needles are pre-sterilized stainless steel, FDA approved & disposed of after each single use.
Afraid of needles?
JMWilcox Clinic offers the option of extremely effective treatments without needles! These treatments are used to treat children, ill, or needle-phobic patients.
